Max Velthuijs
Max Velthuijs (1923–2005) was the creator of the picture books about Frog, the friendly amphibian in the baggy red-and-white swimming trunks who is known all around the world.
Children's books
His oeuvre also includes titles such as De schilder en de vogel (1971) and Klein-Mannetje heeft geen huis (1983). He won the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2004.
